Description Position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time General Manager of Primary Operations who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Plant Manager. Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage and direct all resources, including production supervisors and hourly employees to provide our customers with a high-quality part and delivered on time. Responsible to oversee all manufacturing activities within his/her cost centers. This includes but is not limited to staffing issues, scheduling, and monitoring performance to goals. Recommend capital needs and effectively implement capital programs. Assist the Plant Manager with the development of all budgets and monitor them to ensure business directives are met. Interview and approve the hiring of employees and supervisors within his/her cost centers. Direct and monitor continuous improvement efforts within his/her cost centers. Responsible for implementing the labor contract. Responsible for operation and upkeep of all related equipment, buildings and systems. Provide input on quotations as they apply to his/her cost centers. Regular review with employees and supervisors on company rules, policies and regulations. Provide interpretations when necessary. Assist in establishing departmental budgets as well as the business plan. Assist with the scheduling of production equipment and provide preventative maintenance support. Provide yearly salary appraisals and recommendations. Responsible for special projects as assigned. Qualifications Exhibit good people skills and managerial experience. Thorough understanding of powder metal process. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
