Location: Pittsburgh, PAExperience: Entry Level, Junior Level, Senior Level, Mid LevelJob Type: Full TimeASGCO Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer and turn-key service provider of bulk material handling equipment, including; conveyor systems, conveyor components, screens and wear parts to the aggregate, cement, wood, pulp, paper, recycling and other bulk material handling industries.

We are looking for Field Service / Conveyor Belt Technicians/Maintenance/Millwrights to install, service and repair conveyor belts and components, motors and who has experience on Industrial jobsites, including: Aggregate, Asphalt, Bulk Shipping Terminals, Ready-mix, Quarries and or other types of Industrial / Manufacturing plants. We provide in-house training programs for advancement. Any construction or millwright type jobs including steel fabrication, welding, proper rigging techniques and any conveyor experience is a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:




Install new conveyor belt


Change out existing conveyor belt


Repair or splicing of conveyor belt


Demonstrate proper safe use of handling of tools, equipment and materials.


Must be mechanically inclined


Follows instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as hazard and/or task training that may be required before the task begins


Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employee


Take part of our Conveyor Technician training programs for advancement.


Be willing and able to work a variety of schedules on-call, including dayshift, nightshift and weekends.


Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook.




Experience




One to three (1-3) years of conveyor belt experience, preferred


Up to two (2) years of mining experience, preferred


Familiarity with all hot vulcanized splicing techniques and previous pulley lagging experience are preferred




Requirements




High School Diploma or GED, preferred


Reliable transportation


Regular and punctual attendance


Ability to travel


Effective communication is required


Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently


Job duties will be performed underground and on surface, those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications; successfully complete industry approved training courses.


Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check


Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires
