Description Position at Hood Distribution Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have twenty-four locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special. We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Carnegie, PA . Job Responsibilities: • Proficiently pulling customer orders for next day delivery and customer pick-up. • Effectively unloading inbound freight by either hand or forklift, verifying the dropped-off material, and entering items into the system. • Restocking and verifying inventory in proper bin locations. • Maintaining a healthy warehouse environment. Qualifications: • Proven warehouse experience (minimum 1 year) • Prior experience and ability to operate a forklift (minimum 1 year) • Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) device and computer tools • Must be able to lift 50-100lbs • Excellent Customer Service skills Preferred Qualifications: • Great interpersonal skills – a team player • Forklift Certification • Great oral and written communication skills • Good attention to detail • Must be able to adapt to change • Ability to drive a box truck less than 10,000 pounds Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Additional Information: Hood Industries offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package including medical, employee assistance program, dental, vision, cancer, life, flexible spending account, 401k, and LTD, available first of the month following completion of one month of continuous full-time employment.
