This is your chance to work in a dynamic environment, gaining unique skills and making a lasting impact. /n Shift Details: /n /n - 8.5-hour daytime shifts/n - Every other weekend off/n - Holidays as scheduled/n - Includes a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch/n /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n - Deliver professional nursing care to inmates and detainees/n - Step into roles such as charge nurse, staff nurse, or assessment coordinator/n - As a charge nurse, coordinate nursing activities, supervise staff, assess equipment needs, and ensure proper documentation/n - As an assessment coordinator, create and evaluate personalized care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and liaise with residents and families when needed/n - As a staff nurse, provide direct nursing services, manage specialty areas (like infection control or risk management)/n - Exercise independent judgment, following professional nursing standards/n - Receive assignments through instructions and work autonomously under supervision from RN supervisors, physicians, or dentists/n /n Required Skills & Competencies: /n /n - Proficiency in airway management, CPR, first aid, IV therapy, medication administration, vital signs, and emergency protocols/n - Ability to perform diagnostic testing and specimen collection/n - Experience with ventilator care, wound management, sterile techniques, and special procedures such as NG tube insertion and ostomy care/n - Ability to conduct full body assessments, develop Plans of Care, and operate necessary medical equipment/n - Must adhere to all nursing standards and patient safety protocols/n /n Qualifications: /n /n - Minimum of 1 year relevant experience/n - Valid RN license in Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain/n - Expert knowledge in correctional healthcare procedures and standards/n /n Benefits & Opportunities: /n /n - Competitive pay with weekly stipend to support housing costs/n - Travel opportunities to gain diverse experience/n - Develop your expertise in correctional health settings/n - Be part of a supportive team committed to quality care and safety/n /n If you’re ready to take your nursing career to the next level in a rewarding correctional environment, apply now and join us in making a difference!
