registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing
care for a 30-bed Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit located in
Weirton, WV, focusing on cardiac and complex medical patients. This
contract role requires an experienced RN skilled in cardiac
monitoring, titrating drips, and managing post-procedure adult
patients in a setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio ranging from
1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and care
for patients with cardiac conditions, post pneumonia, post cath lab
recovery, seizures, and those following ETOH-CIWA protocols.
Administer and titrate cardiac drips including cardizem,
amiodarone, nitroglycerin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, and
angiomax. Perform assessments, vital signs, ADLs, bathing,
toileting, feeding, repositioning, and blood glucose monitoring.
Accurately read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips; print and
evaluate rhythms as needed. Collaborate with respiratory therapy to
troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and tracheostomy equipment.
Float to other inpatient units as required, with travelers
prioritized for float assignments. Participate in a four-week
schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00am7:00pm), weekends every other
week, and potential holiday rotation. Qualifications: Current
unexpired RN license; submit copy with application. Minimum 2 years
of Stepdown/PCU nursing experience. BLS and ACLS certifications
required. Proven ability to titrate cardiac drips and manage
complex cardiac patients. Comfort working with telemetry and
