ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Inpatient Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per 4-week schedule • Weekend nights include Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday • Holiday requirement: Work into permanent staff holiday schedule as needed • Patient ratios: 1:6 for floor patients, 1:3 for stepdown patients • Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, and traumatic injuries • Required to manage chest tubes, respiratory support, traumatic brain injuries, and complex spinal cord injuries • Must be able to read and validate telemetry strips • Floating to like units (floor/stepdown) required • Dress code: Royal blue scrubs • Required certifications: BLS certification • Charting system: EPIC • Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility • Care for multi-trauma, TBI, fractures, general surgery, and bariatric surgery patients • Handle titratable drips including heparin, PCAs, insulin, and Cardizem • Work with clinical associates when fully staffed (4 per unit) • 2 shift cancellation policy per 13-week contract Facility: This healthcare facility features a 30-33 bed trauma and general surgery inpatient unit that operates as both a stepdown and floor care environment. The facility is a nationally-recognized comprehensive bariatric surgery center offering high-impact, fast-paced nursing opportunities. The unit maintains collaborative relationships with care management, surgical and medical services, rehabilitation services, and perioperative services, providing comprehensive patient care with advanced equipment and 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy and house supervision.
