Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Kingwood, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,876 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Compact or state license acceptable Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Conscious sedation - Telemetry - Ventilator management Description: The role involves providing care for critically ill patients in the ICU. Candidates are expected to manage dysrhythmias and patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Experience with obtaining 12-lead EKGs and sheath removal is necessary. Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and management of chronic or acute renal failure is required. Candidates should have skills in arterial line management and central line care. Continuous IV sedation and administration of emergency medications are part of the responsibilities. The nurse will need to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. CVA and acute stroke management skills are essential. Assistance with BiPAP, CPAP management, and chest tube insertion or removal is expected. Experience with high flow nasal cannula and suctioning is required. Understanding of infection prevention and isolation precautions is crucial. Phlebotomy skills and experience with surgical wounds and wound vacs are needed. The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Daily patient ratios are approximately 2 per nurse. Candidates must provide references from managers or charge nurses in the past two years.
