be considered. A stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is
available in Grafton, WV, offering a 13-week contract with the
possibility of extension. This position focuses on providing care
in a lower acuity stepdown unit during night shifts with a 3x12
schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, working weekdays and every other
weekend. The role emphasizes patient safety and monitoring with a
typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, adjusting to 1:5 in
emergencies. Key Responsibilities: - Provide specialized nursing
care in a stepdown unit fitting for patients requiring telemetry
monitoring but not drips. - Perform IV starts and continuous
cardiac monitoring. - Accurately read and interpret cardiac strips
to assess patient conditions. - Maintain patient safety and respond
quickly in urgent scenarios. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary
teams to deliver high-quality patient care. - Adhere to policies
limiting attendance issues, with a facility expectation of no more
than 2-3 call-offs per contract. Qualifications and Experience: -
Active RN license with 2 years of nursing experience. - Minimum 1
year of experience on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units. - At least
2 years experience in stepdown nursing. - Certifications required:
BCLS and ACLS. - Proficiency with telemetry and IV start. -
Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred. - Ability to work night
shifts on a 3x12 schedule. - Must submit verifiable work history,
skills checklist, references, RN license verification, and
