Registered Nurse (RN) | Rehab Location: Weirton, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,110 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: - Must have 2 years of Medical Surgical or Rehabilitation experience. - Preferred prior rehabilitation experience. - Must be comfortable working independently. Description: The unit consists of 7 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7. Common diagnoses include CVA, TIA, MI, hip fractures, Parkinson's disease, exacerbation of chronic conditions, debility, motor vehicle accidents, and TBI. RNs are required to attend a weekly meeting among all the disciplines in the department. There is no charge nurse; one nurse and one patient care technician are scheduled per shift. Patient care technicians are present with a ratio of 1:7. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, pulmonary, and cardiac rehabilitation services are available. Equipment available includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen. Shifts follow a set schedule based on staff preferences and personal needs. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. Holiday requirements may involve participation in a holiday rotation. Floating to other departments occurs only if there is no census on the rehabilitation unit. The dress code specifies navy blue scrubs for nursing staff and ceil blue scrubs for patient care technicians. The unit does not have a ward clerk or secretary, but there is a part-time case manager.
