Job Description Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Speech Therapist in a PRN capacity! Pediatric experience is essential. Our organization is part of a national service network dedicated to providing housing and healthcare solutions. Compensation: $45.90 - $51.20 per hour, depending on experience! Work Schedule: This is a PRN position that involves traveling to clients' residences. The Speech Therapist will deliver consistent therapy to clients as per physician directives. You will be responsible for communicating client progress within the organization. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess and treat clients, liaise with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided. Qualifications: A minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Pathology, along with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or at least one year of experience working with adults and children with neurological disorders affecting language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing. The candidate should be capable of working independently within the department. A valid Speech Pathology license in the relevant state (if applicable) or actively acquiring the necessary supervisory experience for licensure. Registration with the Department of Health or eligibility for registration. Preferred membership in the Speech Language Hearing Association. Ability to integrate and synthesize large volumes of auditory and visual information (e.g., in-service training, evaluations, and therapy tasks). Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Capability to read, write, and interpret professional evaluation materials to stay updated in the field, prepare in-services, conduct assessments, and make clinical decisions. Ability to independently analyze and resolve issues related to oneself, clients, and others. Capacity to manage stress from a caseload that may include frustrated clients. Strong organizational skills to follow complex instructions and manage schedules effectively. Basic math skills. Interest in geriatric rehabilitation. Proficiency in using personal computers, Servox, and augmentative devices. Essential Functions: Assess and create suitable treatment plans aimed at restoring or enhancing communication efficiency for clients. Evaluate clients and develop effective treatment plans as requested by physicians, securing approval for services. Initiate prescribed treatments and keep physicians informed about client progress. Document evaluations, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other necessary information in accordance with agency policies, third-party payers, and state and federal regulations. Ensure proper documentation is maintained as per state, federal, and third-party payer guidelines. Keep accurate records in line with agency policies and procedures. Collaborate and communicate with team members regarding client progress, challenges, and plans. Engage in rehabilitation conferences at regular intervals. Participate in client care planning meetings. Provide education to clients, families, and staff as needed. Contribute to in-service training programs for agency staff as requested. Adhere to the Speech Language Pathology Practice Act in the state. Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
