ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Tele Float Pool Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Float pool position covering multiple units including 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds) • Nurse to patient ratios typically 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts on most units • Every-other-weekend requirement with Saturday/Sunday shifts for both days and nights • Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Must take and pass a cardiac rhythm exam • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips • Will not be required to titrate drips • Care for patients with CHF, cardiac catheterization, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology conditions • Report to clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start for unit assignment • Assigned basic telemetry patients within scope of practice • 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor • Royal blue scrubs required • Work with CNAs on all units and Phillips telemetry monitoring system • EPIC charting system • Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule) • 2 shift cancellation policy per 13-week contract Facility: This healthcare facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care services. The hospital features multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units with modern equipment including Phillips monitoring systems and EPIC electronic health records. The facility maintains structured float pool operations with clinical coordinators managing unit assignments and supports both permanent staff and travelers with organized orientation programs and holiday rotation schedules.
