to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, 15401!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse)

Must-Have: Comfortable managing both 'clean' and 'dirty' patients
Description: Unit notes include a 50-mile radius rule. All
submissions must include a copy of candidate's unexpired driver's
license. Any professional license issues must be disclosed upon
submission. The unit consists of 28 private beds. The only required
certification is BLS. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:6-7. There is a
Clinical Manager available Monday through Saturday. The Clinical
Manager may take patients if census exceeds 24. Nights have a
resource nurse who takes a full patient assignment. Two CNA's are
available on day shifts but none on nights. Weekend shifts are
required every other weekend. Holidays will be worked into the
permanent staff holiday rotation. Staff members must wear navy blue
scrubs. Patients may be on remote telemetry, monitored off-site.
Drips may include Heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures.
Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow devices are managed by Respiratory
Therapy. All shifts for RNs are 12 hours: 7 AM to 7:30 PM and 7 PM
to 7:30 AM. CNAs work 8-hour shifts: 6 AM to 2:30 PM and 2 PM to
10:30 PM. Self-scheduling and blocked schedules are allowed if unit
needs are met. Floating would only occur to other Medical Surgical
units. Floor-specific orientation includes one shift with a
preceptor. Common diagnoses on the unit include post-surgical and
orthopedic cases. Other patient types include pneumonia, dialysis,
palliative care, hospice care, and chemotherapy patients. Current
COVID patients are housed separately from 'clean' patients. Must be
comfortable with the possibility of being assigned to both 'clean'
and 'dirty' patients simultaneously. The cancellation policy allows
for two shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment. Charting is
done using a Cerner system. A BSN is not required for this
