care. /n Responsibilities: /n /n - /n Quality Improvement & Patient
Satisfaction: Actively engages in unit-based quality initiatives.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and applies evidence-based
practices to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experiences.
Shares insights during multidisciplinary rounds and integrates
findings into patient care plans. /n /n - /n Patient-Centered Care:
Implements the nursing process using a Relationship Based Care
model. Collaboratively formulates daily care goals with patients,
addressing clinical, psychological, social, safety, and spiritual
needs. Communicates clearly with care teams and updates
documentation to ensure continuity of care. /n /n - /n Professional
Collaboration: Builds strong internal and external relationships
through accountability, enthusiasm, and cultural awareness.
Balances work and personal well-being while promoting safety and
open communication in the workplace. /n /n - /n Professional
Development: Participates in shared governance, goal setting, and

as assigned. /n /n /n /n The individual must demonstrate the
knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for
patients served in their assigned unit. This includes understanding
the principles of growth and development across the life span and
the ability to assess and interpret data to identify patient needs
according to age-specific requirements as outlined in departmental
policies. /n Qualifications: /n /n - Education: Bachelor of Science
in Nursing (BSN) required /n - Experience: 0–2 years of clinical
experience /n - Skills:/n /n - Strong interpersonal skills to build
positive, caring relationships with all levels of staff, patients,
and families /n - Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
within a complex healthcare setting /n - Clinical judgment and
critical thinking to provide high-quality patient care and lead
others in the nursing process /n - Physical ability to walk, stand,
lift, and reposition patients regularly /n - Dexterity and mobility
needed for specialized equipment use /n /n /n /n Licensure,
Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n - Active RN license or
Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) in the relevant state or within the
Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) or
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire
(AHA-compliant course with both didactic and skills components) /n
- UPMC-approved national certification preferred /n /n Note:
