• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS are all required.
  • Job Details
  • Hospital in PA is looking for Tele RN's to help out for 13 weeks.
  • Must have BLS and ACLS.
  • Hospitalist is in-house 24/7, Intensivist in the ICU 7 days/week from 7a-7p & on-call after hours. Sometimes have an NP.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Heavy cardiac - dysrhythmias, CVAs, mix of everything, anything downgraded from the ICU.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must be able to titrate drips: Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, & Heparin.
    • Insulin is only set-rate.
    • No sedation gtts.
    • Do nurses read strips? They have a monitor tech but the RN's must be able to read & interpret strips. They are also the central monitor station for the whole hospital.
      • Schedule Information
      • Weekend Requirement: EOW: Days S/S, Nights F/S/S.
      • Holidays: Every other holiday - work into perm staff holiday rotation.
      • Shifts: RN's: 12's 7a-7:30p; 7p-7:30a. CNA's: 8's 6:30a-3p; 2:30p-11p.
      • The Director allows block scheduling. Very easy to work with!
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Ratios: 1:4-5 (If MedSurg acuity 1:6)
        • Nurse Aides: 2 per shift during the day & mid shift. No CNA at night after 11p
        • Vents: Bipap, Cpap, High Flow
        • Nurse: RN's: 12's 7a-7:30p; 7p-7:30a. CNA's: 8's 6:30a-3p; 2:30p-11p
        • Floating: Could float to ICU as helping hands
          • Additional Details

          • CANNOT SUBMIT TO MORE THAN 1 POSITION AT A TIME WITHIN WHOLE WVU SYSTEM
