Overhaul Technician The Aircraft Ejection Seat Overhaul Technician
is a skilled technical expert responsible for comprehensive
inspection, complex repair, precision overhaul, and rigorous
testing of ejection seats and their life-critical components in
accordance with detailed technical specifications, engineering
drawings, and stringent regulatory standards. This role is
essential to maintaining the highest levels of aircrew safety,
product quality, and operational readiness while ensuring full
compliance with all applicable procedures and customer
requirements. Key Responsibilities Comprehensive Overhaul & Repair:
Perform repairs, overhauls, and recondition of ejection seats and
associated components, restoring full operational capability across
multiple Martin-Baker platforms, including Mk10, Mk14, and Mk16
ejection seats. Explosive Handling & Safety: Safely de-arm ejection
seats, ensuring all explosive elements are properly managed and the
seat is rendered safe for maintenance operations. Functional
Testing & Calibration: Execute precise testing, troubleshooting,
and adjustments to verify that all ejection seat components operate
within defined performance parameters and comply with safety
regulations. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Maintain
meticulous records, reports, and technical documentation to ensure
strict compliance with industry standards, government regulations,
company policies, and customer requirements. Test Equipment
Maintenance: Perform calibration, routine servicing, and preventive
maintenance on specialized testing apparatus, ensuring accuracy and
reliability of test results in line with applicable standards.
Technical Expertise & Support: Facilitating efficient
troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues. Process
Adherence & Continuous Improvement: Strictly follow Martin-Baker
America work instructions, operational procedures, and safety
protocols, while actively contributing to process enhancements and
continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality and
efficiency. Qualifications & Skills: Extensive hands-on experience
in the overhaul, repair, and maintenance of aircraft ejection seat
systems, with a preference for work in aerospace or defense
applications. In-depth knowledge of technical manuals, engineering
drawings, blueprints, and relevant specifications, with the ability
to accurately interpret and execute complex instructions. Proven
ability to perform precision work with unwavering attention to
detail, maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in a
mission-critical environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills, with a detail-oriented approach to diagnostics, root cause
analysis, and effective resolution of technical issues. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating
effectively with internal teams, customers, and cross-functional
partners. Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and
internationally as required to support customer field operations
and on-site maintenance needs. Essential Skills and Experience At
least minimum of five years' experience in the support and
maintenance of ejection seats and ejection seat components.
Demonstrate expertise in mechanical ability to interpret and apply
technical drawings, technical manuals, and engineering
documentation. Extensive hands-on experience in the overhaul,
repair, and maintenance of aircraft ejection seat systems, with a
preference for work in aerospace or defense applications. In-depth
knowledge of technical manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints,
and relevant specifications, with the ability to accurately
interpret and execute complex instructions. Proven ability to
perform precision work with unwavering attention to detail,
maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in a
mission-critical environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills, with a detail-oriented approach to diagnostics, root cause
analysis, and effective resolution of technical issues. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating
effectively with internal teams, customers, and cross-functional
partners. Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and
internationally as required to support customer field operations
and on-site maintenance needs. Desired Skills and Experience At
least three years' experience with Martin-Baker Aircraft Company
ejection seats is preferred. Prior military experience and
graduation from U.S. Navy/Marine Corps AME/PR "A" school or U.S.
Air Force equivalent preferred. Communications Position requires
the ability to clearly communicate oral and written information to
subordinates, peers, superiors, and customers. Technical Ability
Position requires an understanding of the maintenance of ejection
seat systems from component replacement to overhaul. Position
requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must
have the ability to accurately understand and interpret product
drawings, and specifications of moderate complexity. Leadership
