Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The General Laborer
is responsible for performing manual labor tasks to support various
projects and operations. The General Laborer works under the direct
supervision of the YES Program Director and will assist with tasks
that require physical strength, agility, and the ability to work in
various conditions. Performance Responsibilities: Physical Labor:
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and
moving heavy materials and equipment. Construction Support: Assist
in general construction projects by digging trenches, mixing and
pouring concrete, and operating basic construction tools.
Demolition: Assist in tearing down structures, removing debris, and
ensuring the safe disposal of materials. Loading and Unloading :
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from
trucks/trailers. Ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are
properly handled and stored. Site Cleanup: Maintains a clean and
organized work environment by cleaning up debris and disposing of
waste materials. Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and
equipment as required. Assembly and Disassembly: Assist with
assembling and disassembling equipment and structures as needed.
Material Handling: Sort and organize materials and supplies. Ensure
materials are handled safely. Safety Compliance: Always adhere to
all Federal and State safety regulations. Wear the appropriate
protective gear, and report safety hazards or incidents to the YES
Program Director. Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks in
ACRP-owned buildings. Transportation: Transport materials and
equipment to and from job sites using company vehicles. Teamwork:
Work and collaborate with team members and follow instructions to
complete assigned tasks. Communication: Communicate effectively
with co-workers and supervisors regularly to complete assigned
tasks. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Ability to work
in various weather conditions and environments. Basic knowledge of
construction tools and equipment (preferred). Ability to follow
safety guidelines and protocols. Team player with good
communication skills. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of
kneeling, bending, crouching, and standing. Ability to lift 100
lbs. unassisted. Required Clearances and Documentation: Must
possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable
transportation. Act 31/Act 126 Clearance Mandated Reporter
Training. Act 34 Clearance Pennsylvania State Police Background
Check (Criminal History). Act 114 Clearance FBI Fingerprint. Act 33
Clearance Pennsylvania Child Abuse History.
