Position Summary Information Position PurposeThe Maintenance
Repairman 2 position is work at the journeyman skill level in at
least two of the following building trades that include carpentry,
electrical, HVAC, locksmithing, painting and plumbing. An employee
in this class performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in
the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of buildings
and auxiliary systems and equipment.This position reports directly
to a Facility Operations Supervisor and is considered an essential
position where the employee is to be present on all scheduled
workdays regardless of weather conditions and/or other unforeseen
circumstances. This position is considered an essential personnel
position.Description of DutiesInstall, repair, and service door and
door hardware & building card access systems.Installs,
troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, maintains, and opens locks in a
variety of building and office equipment.Assists with maintaining
university keying system.Assist with small renovations and
carpentry projects.Paint buildings, rooms, walls, or other surfaces
as assigned.Performs masonry work and repairs on buildings, ramps,
sidewalks, and walls.Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical
systems and equipment.Installs and maintains plumbing systems and
fixtures.Maintain and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.Function as a
lead worker as needed.Assist with snow removal on campus.Performs

years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which
