Job Description:
The Cost Accounting Manager will maintain inventory control,
including researching inventory adjustments and conducting physical
inventory. They will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy
and integrity of cost data and management reports, including
production statistics, costing and other key performance
indicators. Essential Functions: Calculate, Review, Maintain &
Report upon Cost of all products - Purchased or Manufactured
including Foreign Vendors Provide Cost Estimates of New Products -
To be Purchased or Manufactured Develop and Maintain Foreign
Currency Demand and Payment Schedules, Contracts and initiate
Foreign Currency Payments. Stay current on issues that impact
currency rates. Review and Approve Import and Export Broker
Invoices - Check Customs Compliance as it pertains to Harmonized
Tariff System. Work to resolve other US Customs Compliance issues
Maintain manufactured products recipes Work w/ Production Facility
to Review raw material specs and expected yields Track inbound
imported inventory, estimated value and maintain accrual schedule
Work w/ Purchasing to maintain open Purchase orders quantities,
prices, arrival dates and resolve any discrepancies or damages
found upon receipt of product. Work w/ General Accounting on System
modifications or issues Inventory Control - Reconcile Monthly
Consignment Warehouse Inventories and Assist in semi-annual
companywide physical inventories. Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance A minimum of 2 years of
cost accounting experience or equivalent required Ability to work
at a fast pace, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Experience with
importing and foreign currency. Experience in a manufacturing
setting preferred. Detail oriented and high levels of organization
required. High level of confidentiality and discretion is required.
Proficient in Microsoft applications such as word, excel, power
