today.PURPOSE:The Inventory Disposition Processor will be
responsible for pulling and processing salvage product as directed
from Procurement,inventory control and/or any chargebacks. This
associate will collaborate with cross-functional departments and
local operationsleadership to reconcile and respond to damage and
returned products. They will also help support inventory projects
and programs toensure accuracy and in compliance with service
levels.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide guidance regarding Damage and
Returns for products that can be sold to salvage dealersSign and
date all pick up documents and return to inventory control
coordinator for SOX recorded keepingPull salvage product using
reports generated by Quality Control using the
pull date
columnBuild stable, secure pallets with the pulled product and
label with pallet number tagEnter items pulled on excel spreadsheet
itemizing by palletPull any product to be salvaged as directed by
buying department, inventory control department or by
chargebackCorrectly fill out chargeback paperwork and return to
inventory control coordinatorMake necessary inventory adjustments
within the systemRun appropriate reports to identify and action
products that need to be pulledCoordinate and load salvage pickups
with salvage dealerCommunicate information as needed with inventory
control, reclaim, Quality Control, buying department and warehouse
supervisionReceive, review, and respond to emails regarding salvage
product using good communication skillsBe able to safely operate
forklift and pallet jack in conjunction with job dutiesExecute and
validate Intercompany TransfersPerforms other relevant job duties
as requiredJOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/
Certifications:(Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or
preferred)High school diploma or GED requiredCapability of being
licensed in operating powered industrial equipmentExperience:Pallet
jack certification required2-3 years of experience as a selector,
lift operator preferred1-2 years of data entry experience
preferredKnowledge:Have an understanding of procedures in other
areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all
processes.Understanding of safety guidelinesUnderstanding of
paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventoryStrong
knowledge of applicable warehouse mgmt. system and RF
system.Skills/ Abilities:Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and
report financial dataAbility to partner with a wide variety of
people both in person and virtuallyAbility to problem solve and
collaborate to seek resolutionStrong communication skills; both
written and oral applicationsStrong interpersonal skills; must be
motivated and take initiativeDeal effectively with a wide variety
of people both in person and over the telephoneAbility to establish
and maintain effective working relationships with othersAbility to
be detail oriented and manage multiple tasksProficiency in PC
software tools for reports, analysis, and audits. MS Outlook, Word
and Excel experience requiredPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:Ability
to lift between 40-60 pounds daily and to stand, walk, bend, stoop,
twist and turn frequently.Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20
degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation
and 37degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery OperationAbility
to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for
maintenance and service procedures.Must be able to work with hands
and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.Requires
manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work
both at ground level and in high places to performjob duties.
Ability to operate work related equipmentSpecific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and abilityto adjust
focus.
