Description We are seeking a Project Engineer who brings a strong
project management mindset, thrives on driving continuous
improvement, and proactively supports evolving Laboratory needs.
About the role: Leading end?to?end project execution - guiding
project teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring clarity,
communication, and high?quality deliverables throughout all phases
of work. Providing clear, timely communication to NRLFO, NR, and
senior leadership regarding project progress, risks, and emerging
issues to support informed decision?making. Championing innovation
and improvement by originating new ideas that enhance Laboratory
capabilities, strengthen functional requirements, and drive
cost?effective solutions. Coordinating effectively with
cross?functional partners including Operations & Maintenance,
Construction, Environmental Safety & Health, Radiological, Waste
Management, Security, and IT to ensure integrated project support.
Managing project scope, schedule, and budget-making sound
decisions, mitigating risks, and executing change management
processes when challenges arise. Required Combination of Knowledge
and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field;
or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a
related technical, engineering, science or construction field.
Preferred Skills Management of multiple projects and in project
planning Experience managing construction and/or facilities
projects, including relevant internship or co?op roles. Previous
work with subcontractors Experience with regulators and/or
compliance organizations Experience or training in problem
identification and resolution, causal analysis, etc. Project
planning tools (MS Project or Primavera) and resource loading, to
include work breakdown structure (WBS) Strong communication skills
and teaming abilities, and demonstrated process improvement

Pay Range $57,500.00 - $88,000.00 annually Salary information
provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon
candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and
business considerations. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated
for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion,
LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval
Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE
facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power
Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors
Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power
Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established
presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70
years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear
propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained
world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable
operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated
to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We rely on the dedication
